[Imam] Khomeini’s aim goal was not toppling the [old] regime in Iran and establishing the Islamic republic, but he persistently was after a revolutionary change. [Imam] Khomeini did not cause the revolution, but turned an immature reformist movement that followed limited goals into a noble experience of revolution that bore its own exclusive ideological contents.
