It has been recalled through a series of memoirs that Imam Khomeini became furious after hearing that a minister of Shah regime had attributed something wrong to seminary scholars and religious authorities.
The agricultural minister of the regime had said that the scholars had agreed with the regime about some issues over the distribution of land. This is while the religious personalities and clerics had not issued any instruction in this regard.
The regime spread this disgusting speculation immediately after passing of Ayatollah Boroujerdi, a leading Shia Marja' in Iran from roughly 1947 to his passing in 1961
Addressing a gathering of scholars at the memorial service of Ayatollah Boroujerdi, Imam said that the Muslim scholars should take stance and expose conspiracies being hatched by the regime against seminaries and religious communities.
It was reality that by passing of Ayatollah Boroujerdi, the guardianship of jurists had not been over and scholars should keep carrying on their religious duties and obligations, said Imam.
By saying so, Imam sought to erase any type of disappointment existed among religious community at the certain era. Imam maintained that if the public and religious authorities become untied and have close interaction, they will have the same power of Ayatollah Boroujerdi era.
