Once the man left my father came inside and closed the door. I went forward and I took the flower and the sweets from his hand and we went back going toward the room.
My mother asked: Who was it? Before my father said anything I dared myself and I said: this year they have sent us a gift; they are a flower and sweets.
Before he said anything my father went to his room and some minutes later I heard the voice of his whimpers. It was as if something inside him was broken and for the first time I saw that he was crying loudly. My father had changed.
