The summit titled “the holy Quran in Imam Khomeini’s thought and life style has been organized with close coordination of several academic organizations and will start on Wednesday.
The spiritual gathering will begin with a message by Ayatollah Javadi Amoli and attended by Seyyed Hassan Khomeini, the grandson of Imam.
The summit will be attended by scholars, academic figures and intellectuals from across Iran and various parts of the world.
Imam had great devotion towards the holy scripture and had well command over a range of Islamic disciplines such as Quranic and Hadith sciences, philosophy, poetry and mysticism.
In recent years, Imam’s Quranic ideals have been extracted from his scholarly and theological works and have recently compiled in form of a five-volume commentary which has been published by the institute for compiliation and publication of Imam Khomeini’s works.
Imam Khomeini, the late founder of the Islamic Republic stressed that humanity must be obliged to holy Quran, and the divine book should present all perspectives of human lives.
According to Imam Khomeini, the leader of contemporary Muslim world, this book and this table spread everywhere from the East to the West, is a book used from the Revelation to Doom"s day by all men; Layman, learned man, philosopher, mystic, Jurisprudent, etc.
