They were speaking at a webinar titled "Imam Khomeini and Quds Liberation Movement" organized by Pakistan branch of Mustafa International University on the 32nd anniversary of the demise of the Founder of the Islamic Revolution Imam Khomeini on Saturday.
Allama Muhammad Hussain Akbar, President Minhaj Ul Hussain Institute in Lahore and member of the Council of Islamic Ideology of Pakistan said all freedom seekers in the world are indebted to the late Imam, because Imam Khomeini taught freedom to all nations.
He added from the very first days of the struggle against the tyrannical regime in Qom until the victory of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Khomeini’s only goal was to form a government in accordance with the commands of Allah Almighty and the principles of Islam.
The Pakistani religious figure emphasized Imam Khomeini’s struggle for freedom is a way for all oppressed nations.
Asadullah Bhutto Vice President of Jamaat-e-Islami in his remarks said Imam Khomeini was able to unite a nation against oppression with divine and mystical vision and heartfelt trust in Allah Almighty, and his historical decree revived the issue of Palestine.
He added Imam Khomeini and Palestine will not be separated and whenever Palestine is mentioned, the name of Imam Khomeini will be mentioned and wherever the name of Imam Khomeini is mentioned, the name of Palestine will also appear.
The Pakistani politician said the Israeli regime, with the support of the United States and the West, has committed horrific crimes against the oppressed people of Palestine and everyone was silent about these crimes, but it was the Islamic Republic of Iran that, always, rushed to the aid of the oppressed Palestinians.
Mohammad Afzal Haidri Secretary General of Association of Shiite Seminaries of Pakistan also described Imam Khomeini as a high-ranking Islamic and revolutionary figure and said his thoughts and ideas are the source of revival of Islam and religious and political awakening of Muslims.
He added after the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, Imam Khomeini designated the last Friday of Ramadan as World Quds Day, which revived the issue of Palestine.
Allama Syed Shehanshah Hussain Naqvi a renowned Pakistani Shia scholar said Imam Khomeini, according to the will of Imam Ali (AS) fought aggressors and always supported the oppressed.
He said one of the main pillars of the Islamic Revolution is to stand up to the oppressive powers and stand up for the oppressed.
He said there is a lot of pressure on the Palestinian people, and on the other hand, the United States is plotting a new conspiracy against the Muslims and the Palestinian people every day, the iron will of the Palestinian people and their resistance will continue and they will win.
Saqib Akbar, Deputy Secretary General of Pakistan National Solidarity Council said the problems of Islamic world, including Palestine, have always been the main concern of late Imam.
He added Imam Khomeini declared last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan as International Day of Quds to mobilize the entire Islamic world to support the Palestinian people because the issue of Palestine and Quds is not limited to one region or religion or race.
He added the occupying regime of Quds considered itself invincible, but now it is no longer able to fight due to internal problems, and this shows that the liberation of Quds and the destruction of the Zionists is imminent.
Other speakers at the event emphasized that Imam Khomeini was a great politician. His insight and foresight, especially on the issue of Quds, awakened the conscience of the Islamic Ummah.
They said Imam Khomeini, with his tireless efforts, led the unique Islamic revolution and raised not only the Iranian nation but all Muslims in the world.
The enemies of Islam have sought to destroy the Islamic Revolution from the beginning and have used many conspiracies in this regards, but they have not been able to do the slightest damage to this revolution.
It is pertinent to mention that this virtual conference on Imam Khomeini and the Quds Liberation Movement was also broadcast live on the Facebook and YouTube channels of Mustafa International University.
