The supreme leader of the Islamic Revolution says that Imam Khomeini used to become more spiritual during the holy month of Ramadan so that the divine-blessed light and potentials could be felt from his features and gestures.
Imam used to attach a great significance to the holy month of Ramadan and canceled all extra activities to devote himself for divine and spiritual activities.
We rarely got a chance to see him during this month compared with other times of a year. If sometimes we were invited by him for fast breaking, then each could feel that he had transformed himself from spiritual perspectives, the leader recalled.
Imam Khomeini exercised these divine practices and great amount of spirituality during his youth-hood and continued all this till his old age.
The great Imam founded the Islamic Republic of Iran when he tuned 79 years old. At this age, the people usually considered themselves retired. However, Imam did not abandon his duties and obligations in guiding the Iranian nation and the Islamic community, the leader noted.
The leader praised Imam's high spirit and spirituality and said he constantly pursued divine cause and spiritual objectives throughout all his life.
Imam is considered as a great mystic, spiritual, philosopher, jurisprudent and intellectual of the Muslim world.
