The academic gathering discussing ideals of the late founder of the Islamic Republic was held on Thursday, on the sidelines of 35th International Book Exhibition in the Iranian capital, Tehran.
The event was attended by Hojjat al-Islam Ali Kamsari, head of institute for compilation and publication of Imam Khomeini’s works, a number of senior government officials, scholars and seminary and university professors.
Ayatollah Ahmad Beheshti, representative of Fars Province in the Assembly of Experts, Dr. Azad Armaki, professor of sociology at the University of Tehran, Ahmad Vand, the Assistant Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Dr. Sayyed Hamoud Khawasta and Dr. Sayyed Muhammad Ali al-Hosseini were among thosse who shared their views on the relevant topics.
The speakers and participants stressed the need to elucidate Imam's works and ideals and promoting and introducing them to the societies and the world audience.
The scholars underscored the special need of reproducing and introducing Imam's works to the young generation in accordance with Today's requirements and said that these thought shouldnot be restricted to just books and audio tapes.
It is worth-mentioning that several of Imam Khomeini's works have been translated by International Department of the institute into more than two dozen languages and are being exhibited at libraries and book fairs across the region and different parts of the world.
