The person within close circle of Imam Khomeini says that he showed no interest for publicity of his religious authority before the victory of the Islamic Revolution or after becoming the leader of the Islamic Republic.
Imam used to dislike that his photos were being published or remarks were released in the press or various media outlets.
Imam also did not like that his theological works or books such as “collection of Fatwas (religious decrees)” were supposed to be published with any religious dues.
Several figures used to send requests from neighboring Pakistan and other parts of the world because they wanted Imam’s religious decrees to be published. By the passages of times, Imam’s works were promoted by the devotees around the world. But he himself never allowed any sum or money be spent for promotion of his works.
Imam used to say that he would had never gone after becoming a great religious authority but he was obliged to accept responsibilities as Marja or absolute source of immolation.
