Imam's daughter says Martyr Nasrallah was a great supporter for Palestine and axis of resistance

Dr. Zahra Mostafavi, the daughter of the Imam Khomeini has mentioned a memoir about her last meeting with Secretary General of the Lebanese resistance movement Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah who was martyred in a recent Israeli airstrike on the Lebanese capital Beirut.

"During the last meeting I had with him in Beirut, I gave him a part of the Imam's Ammama, a traditional religious dress, with which he used to perform the night prayers during his lifetime.

I gave it to Sayyed, which made him happy and brought a spiritual pleasure to him.

The daughter of late founder of the Islamic Republic gifted a corner of the same Ammama to the wife and children of  Martyr Amir-Abdollahian as well.

Renowned for his revolutionary fervor and political courage on the diplomatic stage, Amir-Abdollahian lost his life in a helicopter crash in northwest Iran in May along with seven other passengers and crew including President Ebrahim Raeisi..

Zahra Mostafavi recalled the memoir while expressing her condolences following the recent crime of the Zionist regime against the resistance movement Hezbollah chief and the Lebanese people.

Referring to the great services rendered by Martyr Nasrallah, she described him as a son of the school of thought of Imam Khomeini and  Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.

“I was deeply impressed by the news of Martyr Hassan Nasrallah who had been a great support for the Palestinian people and the axis of resistance,” Imam’s daughter said.

The Leader declared five days of national mourning following the martyrdom of the Hezbollah chief.

Nasrallah was martyred on Friday after the Israeli regime bombarded a Beirut suburb using US-provided weapons and munitions.

The assassination came as part of the regime’s escalation against Hezbollah. Hundreds of people have been killed across the country since last week.

Israel has been targeting Lebanon since October 2023, when it launched a genocidal war on the Gaza Strip.

Hezbollah has been responding to the aggression with numerous retaliatory operations, including one with a hypersonic ballistic missile, targeting the occupied Palestinian territories.

Nasrallah was elected Secretary General of Hezbollah in 1992 at the age of 32 after an Israeli helicopter gunship assassinated his predecessor, Sayyed Abbas al-Musawi.

The Lebanese resistance movement has vowed to keep up its operations against Israel as long as the Israeli regime continues its Gaza war, which has so far killed about 42, 000 Palestinians, mostly women and children.

More than 1,000 people have also been killed in the past two weeks with the number of health workers dying in Israeli attacks across Lebanon surging by 50 percent.
