The founder of the Islamic Republic on several occasions revealed the occupational agenda of Israeli regime and revived the rights of oppressed nations of Palestine.
The participants have already voiced their support for the Palestinian resistance against the Israeli regime.
The two-day conference has been organized by World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought.
The summit has brought together Muslim clerics from Iran, Lebanon, Palestine, Pakistan, Iraq, Tunisia, Syria, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, India, Jordan, Turkey, among others.
Ayatollah Mohsen Araki, Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, Sheikh Naeem Qasim, Deputy Secretary General of Hezbollah, Sheikh Ahmad al Zein, Head of the Muslim Scholars’ Society as well as a number of representatives from Palestinian resistance groups Hamas and Islamic Jihad Movement are among the keynote participants in the conference.
The Union of Resistance Clerics will be also established on the sidelines of the conference.
Palestinian resistance and territorial integrity as well as current challenges facing Palestine are among the issues which top the agenda of the conference.
In recent years, the concept of resistance has attracted a great deal of attention across the Muslim world.
It refers mainly to the courage and fortitude shown by the people of Palestine, who have withstood Israel’s crimes for years.
The latest developments come as Israeli military unleashed aerial attacks on the besieged Gaza Strip in early July and later expanded its military campaign with a ground invasion into the Palestinian territory. Over 2,130 Palestinians lost their lives and some 11,000 were injured in the raids.
The Tel Aviv regime did not even spare hospitals and UN-run schools sheltering thousands of Palestinians during its attacks against the densely-inhabited sliver.
