Concurrent with the demise anniversary of the late founder of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Khomeini (RA), a conference titled "Imam Khomeini (RA) harbinger of Islamic awakening" was held in Sarajevo to hail the high status of Imam Khomeini (RA) as "the reviver of religion and spirituality", Ahlul Bayt news agency reported.
Addressing the ceremony, Hujjatul Islam Ahmad Salek, the cultural deputy of Ahlul Bayt (AS) World Assembly said," The Era of Imam Khomeini (RA) left its impact on the world for instance: religion and spirituality, valuing presence of the masses against the oppressive governments and also the nations' dependence on their own power and trusting God."
" All prophets of God and spiritual leaders like Imam Khomeini (RA) are in pursuit of a big goal and that is to save societies from deviation, corruption and oppression in a bid to lead them to glory, independence, piety and true belief," he added.
Salek highlighted the mission of Imam Khomeini (RA) as reviving the nation and praised the freedom of the nations towards true faith and justice as a turning point and a victory for the men of God, giving examples like victory of Imam Ali (AS) over his enemies, victory of Imam Khomeini (RA) over Pahlavi dynasty and also awakening of Muslim nations in the Middle East over the puppet dictators of the time."
He also said that remembrance of the Islamic Revolution is the key to realization of victory for the liberal nations of the world.
In another part of his remarks, Ahmad Salek referred to the political Islam, and said," The principle that religion is not detached from politics is derived from the true Islam brought by the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and the holy book of Islam gives the most statements in the field of government and politics."
He denounced the silence of the international organizations against crimes in Egypt, Yemen, Tunisia and Bahrain, and expressed hope that the Islamic move would spread to the other parts of the world.
The ceremony was held by more than 400 Bosnian supporters of the Islamic Republic of Iran, including political, academic and religious figures, as well as Iran's ambassador and Iranian nationals in Sarajevo.
