The oldest Palestine prisoner, Fo’aad al-Razim, was released from the Zionist regime’s prisons. He said: “The issue of Palestine was made global due to the Imam’s courage and insight, and as a result it was no longer forgotten or put aside.”
According to Mehr News Agency, the Israeli prisoner of thirty years said in a gathering attended by university students and lecturers of the International Imam Khomeini University of Gazvin: “I am very thankful for the warm reception of the people of Iran and the city of Gazvin, and I am happy to be amongst you revolutionary people… Imam Khomeini made the matter of Palestine global, and the people of Palestine owe their freedom today to the late Imam.”
Mr. al-Razim also thanked the Supreme Leader, the president and the people of Iran for their help and said: “The people of Palestine have been oppressed because they were forced to leave their country, see the massacre of their children and elderly and experience the besiegement of their borders. However we are still standing up for our rights… Palestine belongs to all the Muslims of the world and in order for it to be freed, it needs financial help and support from all Muslims.”
He further added: “There are over eighty thousand Palestinian prisoners in Israeli prisons, and more than 20,000 of them were arrested from 1945 onwards. These tyrants massacred fifteen thousand innocent people in the Gaza War. We will never officially recognize Israel as a state due to the crimes they have committed against us….Palestine is the most important topic of the Muslim world today and we will move forward with Hamas and Islamic jihad. We will never accept their treaties, which are based on oppression and treachery.”
Mr. al-Razim also stated: “We know that if we resist and fight we will be the victors and God’s promise to the oppressed will be carried out and the oppressors will be defeated…We have the right to defend ourselves in Palestinian garrisons and be sure we will never surrender. The people do not fear prison even with the many prisoners Israel has taken, and with this they can defeat Israel.”
This Palestinian captive also said: “I have been to prison five times, and each time my bones and teeth were crushed by Israeli soldiers. However I will never give up defending my country and fighting for our rights. I will continue resisting.”
